At 16:55 on Sunday afternoon 29 September 2019, Netcare 911 attended to a shooting on Arbee Drive in Tongaat North of Durban. Reports from the scene indicate that three people had sustained gunshot wounds.
Medics assessed the first patient who had been shot multiple times; the man had shown no signs of life and was declared deceased on the scene.
Two other patients had sustained minor to moderate injuries in the crossfire.
The two patients were treated on the scene and once stabilised were transported by ambulance to the hospital for further treatment.
Circumstances leading up to the shooting will be investigated by the Tongaat SAPS.
