A man was shot dead and another wounded in a shooting incident in Edendale, Pietermaritzburg, in KwaZulu-Natal on Saturday night, paramedics said.
A man, believed to be in his 20s, was was declared dead following the shooting, ER24 spokeswoman Chitra Bodasing said.
“ER24 paramedics arrived on [the] scene and found the man in a veld in Edendale Road. Sadly there was nothing that could be done for him. He was declared dead.
“It is understood that there was a second person who was also injured during the shooting. Paramedics were informed that he was taken to hospital by people who were on the scene prior to their arrival.”
Further details were unknown and local authorities were investigating, Bodasing said.
