New scam on social media for SAPS recruitment, Mtubatuba
New scam on social media for SAPS recruitment, Mtubatuba

On Friday 9 November 2018, there were rumours spread through social media (WhatsApp) that candidates are urgently required to come at Mtubatuba Police Station on 10 November 2018, to write psychometric test, candidates should be between the ages of 18 and 30.

Rumour has it that a R2500 amount must be paid to this bogus Captain Phewa and that this test was to replace the 4 successful candidates who were selected but due to two females being pregnant and two male having criminal records the Bogus Captain Phewa had to find replacement of them.

Captain Justice Hlabisa Mtubatuba Communication spokesperson strongly warned people who are desperately in need of employment to not fall for this SCAM as it is false.

Mtubatuba SAPS does not have knowledge of such tests. At SAPS there’s a procedure that’s known and it’s followed when there’s recruitment posts are advertised on national and provincial level.

He (Capt Hlabisa) urged anyone who had already paid the R2500 is free to open case against this bogus Captain shielding under the name/Logo of SAPS to commit crime.
