Three suspects aged between 30 and 40 appeared in the Durban Magistrates’ Court today for the murder of a businessman, Kidesh Ramjettan (37) and the case was remanded until 25 November 2018 for bail application.
The suspects were arrested in the Gauteng province by the KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Task Team and the firearm believed to be used during the shooting was also recovered.
On 22 August 2018 at 16:15, the victim was outside his business premises at South Coast Road, Umbilo talking to his friend when an unknown suspect approached them. The suspect allegedly shot and killed him before fleeing the scene on foot.
A case of murder was opened at Umbilo police station for further investigation. The docket was assigned to the Provincial Task Team for investigation.
