A murder suspect made his first appearance at the Pinetown Magistrate’s Court on 5 November 2018. On Saturday, 3 November at 17:10, police arrested the 30 year old suspect for the alleged murder of his ex girlfriend.
It is alleged that on the same day at about 16:55, the 48 year old victim and her friends were consuming alcohol at UBhontshisi near Wyebank, when the suspect arrived and demanded to speak with her. It is alleged that the victim refused to speak to the suspect who pulled out a knife and stabbed her in the neck.
She was rushed to the hospital where she succumbed to her injuries on arrival.
In another incident, a 39 year old suspect handed himself over to the police following the murder of his step mother at KwaNyavu in Msunduzi. It is alleged that on Friday, 2 November at 11:00, the suspect and his step mother had an argument over household chores.
The suspect allegedly grabbed a knife and fatally stabbed her multiple times. He appeared before the Camperdown Magistrate’s Court.
