Investigating officers in Mountain Rise SAPS are seeking assistance from the community to locate the person in the attached picture. Police believe he can assist in solving the case of murder.
On 1 June 2020, at 23:00, police officers from Mountain Rise attended to a complaint of stabbing at Haniville area in Copesville. On arrival police found the body of Siphesihle Shezi (35) lying on the floor bleeding with a stab wound to the neck and the left side of the chest.
Upon further investigation at the crime scene, it was established that a group of people were consuming liquor when an argument broke out. One of the men pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim. He was certified dead at the scene.
