A man sustained injuries during an armed hijacking incident that occurred along Gokal Road in the Avoca area, Durban on the evening of Thursday, 16 October 2025.
KZNVIP Ambulance Services were dispatched to the scene after reports were received of a hijacking where a victim had been injured in the Avoca area. Upon arrival, KZNVIP paramedics found that the victim had sustained a stab wound to the leg after being attacked by four to five armed suspects.
It is believed that the suspects, who were armed with firearms and a knife, arrived in an unconfirmed white vehicle and proceeded to hold up the motorist before fleeing with the victim’s silver Mercedes-Benz (registration ASHENA-ZN).
The matter is currently under investigation by Greenwood Park SAPS. All emergency services were in attendance
