Forty eight of the 56 people arrested during and after the Mooi River toll gate chaos have been released.
There was great amazement when the state only charged eight accused before the court. Insufficient evidence by the police was given for the release of the 48.
However, no arrests have been made for any of the fire arsonists, as police are still investigating the case.
