Minister of Police, Mr Fikile Mbalula, National Police Commissioner, General Khehla Sitole and Acting Provincial Commissioner of KwaZulu-Natal, Major General Bhekinkosi Langa briefed the media about operations taking place in and around Durban.
The Minister first addressed the members who were on parade ready to conduct their operations. Media was briefed at Durban North Police Station about drug bust at Phoenix area yesterday where six suspects were arrested.
The crime scene where drugs were found was also visited and one more suspect was arrested and found in possession of more drugs.
The Minister moved to Point area visiting operations and was joined by MEC for Community Safety and Liaison, Mxolisi Kaunda.
Hijacked buildings were raided and the minister addressed the community in that vicinity such buildings.
