Members of Empire Protection Services received a request for assistance via means of a secure channel for assistance to members recovering a hijacked Toyota Quantum in the iqadi area of Ndwedwe in Durban after alleged suspects opened fire in the midst of dark.
Members were immediately mobilised and arrived on scene. It was thereafter established that the Toyota Quantum was hijacked in Hillcrest in the early hours of the 8th of October 2024 and by means of tracking, memebers made mobile to the last known coordinates in the early hours of the 9th of October 2024, upon arrival the vehicle was located on its left side and striped.
Unfortunately due to the cover of dark and bad visibility due to mist, alleged suspects began to open fire on members who then became boxed in and requested assistance for backup.
No injuries reported.
Upon arrival of SAPS the scene was handed over for further investigations….
