A man with a gunshot wound was found dead in his bed at his home in Margate, police said on Friday.
Captain Nqobile Gwala confirmed the incident, saying that police had been called to the Phillip Road residence at 11.20 on Thursday night.
“Paramedics found a man still in his bed with a single gunshot wound,” said Athlenda Mathe, Netcare 911 spokeswoman.
Gwala said that the motive for the murder of the 47-year old, who was shot in the head, was unknown and no suspects had been apprehended.
