On Tuesday evening at 19h46 Netcare 911 paramedics responded to a shooting incident in Currie Road, Durban. Reports from the scene indicate that a man and a woman were traveling along Young Road when an attempted hijacking took place.
Exact detail to the cause of the incident and preceding events is still speculative and will form part of the police investigation.
Paramedics arrived at the scene and found that the man has sustained a serious gunshot wound while the female was uninjured but very traumatised.
Paramedics stabilised the man at the scene before he was transported to a specialised hospital for the care that he required.
