A 40-year-old man was killed after he attempted to flee from suspects attempting to rob him and his friends on the R102 in Cornubia – KZN this afternoon (Friday).
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) arrived on scene at approximately 17:59 and located the fatally injured male on the side of the road. Two (2) of his friends informed Reaction Officers that they were returning to their homes in Cornubia –
KZN when they were confronted by three (3) males who produced knives. The friends fled onto the roadway in an attempt to evade the robbers, but deceased was struck by a white Renault Triber.
The driver of the vehicle was not injured.
