Four men were arrested on the night of 25 August 2019, at Nyoni on the north coast. At 22:15, the victim Xolani Masondo (32) was with his companion at Esidakeni in Nyoni when he was approached by four suspects. He was dragged from his home and attacked.
He was severely assaulted and died of his injuries. A case of murder was opened at Nyoni police station for further investigation. Nyoni detectives immediately initiated an investigation which led to the arrest of four suspects on the same night.
The suspects, aged between 21 and 24, are expected to appear in the Nyoni Magistrates Court soon.
