At 19H06 Thursday evening Netcare 911 responded to reports of a shooting in Bisley, Pietermaritzburg.
Reports from the scene indicate that a 31-year-old male had sustained multiple gun-shot-wounds while sitting in a light delivery vehicle.
The patient was assessed and found to be in a critical condition and required immediate Advanced Life Support intervention.
He was stabilized and rapidly transported to hospital for further treatment.
Circumstances leading up to the shooting is unknown and will form subject of a police investigation by the Alexandra SAPS.
