A 28-year-old man was left seriously injured yesterday morning following a shooting incident on Leopold Street in Durban CBD.
ER24 paramedics were returning to their branch when they came across the scene at 07h40.
Upon closer inspection, paramedics found the man lying on the side of the road surrounded by members of a local security company.
Paramedics assessed the man and found that he had sustained a gunshot wound to his buttock, leaving him in a serious condition.
The man was treated for his injuries and provided with pain-relief medication before he was transported to Addington Provincial Hospital under SAPS supervision.
The details surrounding this incident are not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
