A 32 year old man is in a critical condition after he was shot twice in the head in Phoenix, KZN on the afternoon of Tuesday 4 September 2018.
At approximately 17:29 members of Reaction Unit South Africa were called out to the scene after the man collapsed on the road side. Medics treated him for two gunshot wounds to his head before transporting him to hospital in a critical condition.
The motive for the shooting is subject to investigation however it is alleged that the man was a victim of a robbery. Several individuals confirmed that they had heard gunshots shortly before the victim emerged from a canal and collapsed on the road side bleeding extensively from his head.
A case of attempted murder is being investigated.
