A man believed to be in his 20s, was left injured this afternoon when he was assaulted and left in the Maryvale Road in Westville, KwaZulu-Natal.
When ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene, they found they man lying on the side of the road, surrounded by numerous members of the community.
The man was assessed and found to have sustained numerous stab wounds to his head as well as soft-tissue injuries to his face.
Paramedics treated the man and thereafter transported him to King Edward Hospital for further treatment.
The local authorities were on the scene to investigate further.
