In the early hours of yesterday, 6 December 2016, Umhlali task team arrested a 44-year-old suspect for murder.
It is alleged that at approximately 03:30 the suspect stabbed his girlfriend (37) to death at Shayamoya area in Shakaskraal after an argument.
KwaZulu-Natal Acting Provincial Commissioner, Major General Bheki Langa praised the teams for apprehending the suspect.
“We cannot allow such things to happen in our society, we always say no abuse to women and children and those who are still abusing them will face the long arm of the law,” he said.
