A Merebank mum was grateful to the Alpha Alarms Response Team for rescuing her son from the clutches of a gang after he was allegedly abducted on Monday 17 July 2017.
It is believed that the young man purchased an item from the males without knowing that the item was stolen.
Some miscommunication arose and the gang grabbed the Merebank resident against his will and hauled him off in the direction of Lamontville.
Alpha was contacted for assistance and Alpha Response Units were dispatched. The Alpha members followed the trail and searched the area on foot.
The alleged abductee was located at Gwala Street canal, unharmed.
The young man’s mother thanked the Alpha Team profusely for rescuing her son as she feared the worst.
