Law enforcement swoop swiftly on suspected hijacked vehicle

Speedy team work by Blue Security, the police and neighbourhood watch groups led law enforcement officers to swoop swiftly on a suspected hijacked vehicle, in Umhlanga on 21 June 2019.

Blue Security’s Durban North tactical ambassador Brendan Porter said the firm had received information that a suspected hijacked vehicle was travelling in Umhlanga at around 6.50am.

“A member of a local neighbourhood watch group shared information on one of our security social media groups that a suspected hijacked vehicle had been spotted in the neighbourhood. Three of our officers and the police swooped swiftly on the vehicle which was approached in Ridge Road. The vehicle and driver were taken to Durban North SAPS for further investigation,” he said.

According to Porter, the vehicle had allegedly been hijacked in Umbilo on Sunday.
