In the early hours of 21 June 2018, Ilembe Cluster members with Public Order Police from Empangeni and Pietermaritzburg conducted an intelligence driven operation aimed at solving the business robbery case that occurred on 20 June 2018.
An intensive investigation led police to the cottages in Ntshawini Reserve where they arrested four suspects aged between 22 and 27 with four pistols and a total of 10 rounds of ammunition in their possession.
Suspects were taken to KwaDukuza police station for detention and they were charged for possession of unlicensed firearms and business robbery.
They are appearing today in the KwaDukuza Magistrates’ Court.
