Investigators from the Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit in the KZN province managed to secure ten life sentences for sexual related cases.
The team made sure that the justice is served to victims of sexual abuse. A total of 34 convictions with 277 years were secured at various courts in the province.
From 1 October until 31 October 2020, 409 suspects were arrested for various cases such as rape, sexual assault, statutory rape, child abandonment, kidnapping, attempted murder and other cases.
These convictions and arrests were made at different areas in the province.
