Trevor Rees (79) a timber farmer in Pudsey, situated in the Sisonke District, Kwazulu-Natal was seriously attacked by suspects on Friday, 3.
The suspects rammed a tractor through the wall and kicked down the front door to gain access. Rees was tied up and assaulted. The suspects ransacked the house and fled with valuables.
Left injured on the bedroom floor, the suspects returned on Saturday and beat him again and once again left with valuables and a bakkie.
It was on Monday that employees of the farm found Rees still tied up with electric cable and blood all over the place. Paramedics and police were alerted and responded immediately.
Rees was transferred to a hospital and reports indicate that he is in a stable condition.
The police are investigating the incident.
