The towns of Ladysmith and Ezakheni in Natal is almost brought to a standstill by a feud between two factional taxi groups.

Since 2014, 61 people have died as a result of factional fighting over routes.

After the death of 11 people in October 2017, two taxi association were suspended by the MEC for transport, Mxolisi Kaunda. Five buses have since been used to transport commuters. Buses were burned at the depot last Sunday, and riot police had to intervene

Kaunda will apparently visit the area to determine whether further action needs to be applied.
