At approximately 18h32, KZN VIP Control Centre received reports of a shooting incident.
Upon arrival, KZN VIP Response Officers were informed that the incident involved a dispute between two vehicles, one of which was a red light motor vehicle (registration unconfirmed). The number of occupants involved in the altercation remains unclear at this time. During the dispute, one of the individuals discharged a firearm, and the bullet struck an innocent female bystander.
KZN VIP Medical & Rescue teams responded promptly providing immediate medical attention to the victim. The injured female was safely transported to a medical facility for further treatment.
