Haniville in Pietermaritzburg was the scene of another land occupation by Haniville, Copesville and Sobantu squatters.

Complaints by “residents” that they have been waiting for low cost housing since 2004 has been given as the reason for the occupation. Law enforcement officers only track the situation without apparently actually doing anything about the illegal occupation.

Meanwhile, Metro police officers removed structures in Ennerdale after illegal structures were erected.
