Brighton Beach Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit are appealing to members of the community for assistance in locating a man known as Kito aged between 30–35 years of age from Cato Crest in Mayville as he could be of help in solving a rape case.
It is alleged that on 15 December 2019 at 00:05, a 25-year-old victim was asleep at her place of residence at Cato Crest in Mayville, with the door closed but not locked as she was waiting for her niece to come home. She heard footsteps inside the house but thought it was her niece, then suddenly a medium built, dark complexioned man was standing next to the bed.
The man overpowered, repeatedly raped and fled the scene.
A case of rape was opened at Cato Manor police station and the docket was transferred to Brighton Beach FCS Unit. The police are looking for the person as per the attached identikit who could assist in solving the rape case.
