House breaking incident – Umhlanga Rocks

 KZN farmer attacked, tortured in two-day ordeal

Umhlanga Rocks fell victim to a spate of house breakings this morning. Marshall Security were alerted to an incident which had occurred in Lagoon Drive shortly after 06:30. Three male suspects gained entry into a residential complex by forcing open electric gates. The men stormed an apartment, holding up a husband and wife, stealing cell phones and a laptop, before fleeing the scene in a getaway vehicle.

In a separate incident, at approximately 05:00, a resident of a complex in Marine Drive, awoke to find an unknown number of suspects had gained entry into their seventh floor apartment, stealing a laptop, a cell phone and a pair of sneakers.

It is unknown at this stage if the two incidents are linked. The South African Police Services will investigate the incidents further.
