Earlier this evening, 25 April 2018, members of KZN VIP Responded to a panic alarm in Lentfern, Phoenix.
Their client pressed their panic button because ” suspicious males across the road”. They were in fact being held up by 5 African males 1 of them with a R5 rifle, bullet proof and thigh holster. The family of a paramedic were robbed of electronic equipment and of two vehicles.

As KZN VIP members entered the street a suspect who was a member of the stopper group opened fire on their vehicle spraying it with R5 rounds.

Both members were shot and injured but the injuries are mainly caused by shrapnel.

The members were immediately rushed to a private medical facility and are in a fair condition. The 2 vehicles taken in the home invasion were left behind as the suspects fled. Suspects fled in a late model white Mercedes Benz.

A special thanks Accimed who responded to assist medically and my heart goes out to almost every security company that came out to assist us and the telephone calls and messages from well wishes.
