KwaZulu-Natal police are worked tireless around the province for the past few days in bringing in wanted criminals for various crimes in the book. Various Clusters yielded positive results during their Festive Season Operations in their areas.
Inanda detectives under eThekwini Inner North Cluster arrested 23 wanted suspects for various crimes such as murder, rape, malicious damage to property and assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm.
Four of the arrested 23 suspects were allegedly involved in a murder, rape and robbery that was reported at Inanda area earlier this month where a 29 year old Zamani Mngoma was shot and killed at his house. His partner was allegedly shot and wounded after she was allegedly raped by the suspects. Cellphones, TV set and other items were taken from the house before the suspects fled the scene.
Arrests were also made at Tongaat area where two suspects were arrested for possession of unlicensed firearm and ammunition. One suspect was arrested at Phoenix area for housebreaking and theft and was found in possession of stolen property such as curtains, iron and cellphone. And drugs such as rock cocaine and mandrax were recovered after a 45 year old man was arrested for drugs at Phoenix.
