Home invasion: Four elderly people held up, threatened, Trenance Park

Two suspects forced their way into a home on Willow Close in Trenance Park, Durban and threatened to assault four elderly people with a metal pipe during a home invasion on Friday 23 October 2020.

Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) received a call of the incident at approximately 10:09. All available Reaction Officers were dispatched to the residence and on arrival it was established that two men entered the home and held up three women aged 75, 65 and 61. A 63 year old man was also held up.

The suspect who was in possession of the metal pipe threatened to assault the victims if they called out for assistance or drew any attention to the robbery. The robbers then stole a 43 inch LG TV and fled into a bush at the rear of the property.

The victims were not injured.
