A 74 year old woman was choked and assaulted during a house robbery on Tirupathy Road in Valdin Heights, Durban, KZN on Saturday 28 March 2020. Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) responded to the residence at approximately 15:53 after receiving reports of the home invasion.
On arrival the victim informed Reaction Officers that two suspects armed with knives forced their way into her home.
They assaulted and choked her while dragging her through the home in search of valuables. The robbers ransacked the home and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash, jewelry and a plasma TV.
The victim sustained minor injuries in the attack.
Reaction Officers conducted an extensive search for the suspects however no arrests were made.
