A Chev Utility bakkie that was hijacked during a business robbery in Ndwedwe – KZN was recovered in Redcliffe by members of Reaction Unit South Africa on December 13, 2016.

At approximately 20:49 Reaction Officers were dispatched to a tuck shop in Ndwedwe after being informed of an armed robbery. Upon arrival it was established that 4 armed suspects in an Opel Corsa bakkie forced their way into the business and stole and undisclosed amount of cash.

As the suspects exited the premises they hijacked a member of public for his Chev Utility bakkie. Both vehicles then fled the scene towards Verulam. Reaction Officers patrolled the area and found the Chev Utility bakkie abandoned in Redcliffe.

An extensive search for the suspects was conducted however no arrests were made.
