Gunshots fired as gang flee Phoenix business armed robbery

Armed robbers indiscriminately fired several shots as they fled the scene of a Phoenix business armed robbery, this morning.

Blue Security community and media liaison officer Andreas Mathios said a gang of armed robbers held up staff at a jewellery store at around 9.40am this morning.

“Details surrounding the robbery are unclear at this stage but it is alleged that a gang of eight suspects held up staff at the jewellery store and robbed them an undisclosed sum of jewellery, cellphones and other valuables before fleeing the scene. The suspects fired several shots indiscriminately as they fled the crime scene. No injuries were reported,” Mathios said.

Police are investigating a case of armed robbery.
