Several armed suspects opened fire on a businessman & occupants of the vehicle pictured in Ottawa – KZN a short while ago.
Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) was inundated with calls reporting a shooting and possible hijacking in progress.
While Reaction Officers were en route, the Operations Center received an update that the victim drove off from the scene during the attack and was heading to a safe area in Mt View.
When Reaction Officers and Police Officers from SAPS Verulam got to Mt View – KZN they interviewed the businessman who informed them that gunmen in a white car opened fire while he was leaving his premises.
The front right tyre, glass, mirror & left panels were damaged during the attack.
The businessman was injured in the shooting and is receiving medical treatment.
Two other occupants were uninjured.
