The Magistrate’s Commission has suspended the Natal regional court president Eric Nzimande for alleged misconduct.

Nzimande was in charge of appointing magistrates in the Natal province.

In August 2017, allegations were already made that Nzimande is part of a syndicate of magistrates and prosecutors who protect rhino poachers as well as killers and rapists.

The Magistrate’s Commission did not want to expand on the reason for the dismissal and Nzimande was given ten days to object to his suspension.
