A man has been arrested after robbing a lady of an undisclosed amount of cash in North Coast Road, north of Durban on Wednesday morning.
Marshall Security were called to assist after members of the public witnessed the man rob a female of the cash she had drawn from an ATM machine nearby. The man allegedly approached the female after she had drawn the cash, robbing her of it, before attempting to flee on foot to a nearby getaway vehicle.
Members of the public who witnessed the ordeal, gave chase, managing to apprehend the suspect. Marshall Security were called to assist and armed reaction officers arrested the man on their arrival. He was found to be in possession of the cash as well as the stolen ATM card.
The man was handed over to the Greenwood Park South African Police Services for processing and investigation.
