A Blue Security armed response officer apprehended an alleged Glen Ashley housebreaker yesterday.
Blue Security community and media liaison officer Andreas Mathios said the officer had responded to the scene in Rodger Place after
a resident sounded the alarm when she heard the sound of glass breaking at a neighbour’s property. The incident occurred at around 12.04am.
“A lounge window had been smashed at the property. Our officer patrolled the area and arrested the suspect in Laughton Avenue. He was handed over to the SAPS who attended the scene of the crime.
It is unclear whether anything was taken from the property,” Mathios said.
Another suspect was apprehended yesterday due to a neighbour’s vigilance, when our control centre was alerted to copper pipe theft from a Hillcrest property.
