Fifty year old man shot on a farm in Shaka’s Kraal

A fifty year old male has been left in a serious condition following a shooting incident on a farm in Shakas Kraal on Thursday.

Marshall Security North Coast received a call shortly after 16:00 for a shooting incident on a farm in the Shakas Kraal area. Armed Reaction officers and members of the SAPS descended on the scene.

A fifty year old man was found seated in a Toyota Hilux, having sustained a gun shot wound to the right leg. He was treated and stabilized on scene by Netcare911 Emergency Care Practitioners, before being taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital for further care.

On further investigation it was ascertained that a number of armed suspects ambushed the man as he was leaving his farm, firing several shots at his vehicle, before fleeing in an unknown direction.

A search of the surrounding area was conducted, however the suspects remain at large.

The scene was secured and handed over to the South African Police Services for further investigation.
