Fifteen years sentence for Chatsworth murderer

The Durban Regional Court sentenced Siyanda Sthembiso Dlamini (27) to 15 year imprisonment for murder.

His sentence came after the court heard how Dlamini killed Bavuyise Mbangi (30). It is alleged that on 28 February 2016, at 13:30, Mbangi was stabbed after an altercation with the accused at the Bottlebrush Informal Settlement. He was taken to a local hospital where he succumbed to the nature of injuries.

A case of murder was opened at Chatsworth police station. The Chatsworth Detectives conducted an investigation and the accused was apprehended.

He made several court appearances until his sentence on 14 May 2018.
