The father of 20-year-old Maldon Suknandan from Reservoir Hills – KZN is seeking witnesses to a collision/shooting that resulted in the death of his son.
At approximately 09:39 on Monday (18/11/2024), Sukanandan’s white Opel Corsa bakkie was travelling at a high rate of speed down Inanda Highway in Newlands – KZN. His vehicle left the road, overturned and crashed through a fence before landing on Barvale Drive. Paramedics stabilised the critically injured driver and expedited him to hospital, but he was declared deceased on arrival.
The deceased’s father, Raj Suknandan, contacted Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) for assistance after the funeral parlour informed him that medical reports stipulated that his son was killed due to a gunshot wound to the head. Raj Sunandan has been since searching for answers leading up to his son’s death.
He acquired a witness who stated that following the crash they heard gunshots in the vicinity of the wreckage. It is believed that Suknandan was travelling from KwaMashu to Clare Estate – KZN at the time of the incident.
