Sawoti police officers traced and arrested a murder suspect in the early hours of 6 October 2019. The arrested suspect (36) was charged with murder and will appear in the Sawoti Magistrate’s Court.
The victim, Sabiso Nzuza (30) was at a tavern in Sawoti when he was involved in an argument with the suspect. It is alleged that during the fracas the suspect stabbed the victim to death. The suspect fled the scene after the incident. Local police officers attended to the scene and collected the necessary evidence. Police officers worked throughout the night to trace the suspect who was eventually arrested.
In Osizweni, a murder suspect was arrested on 5 October 2019, after he allegedly stabbed a 40 year old man at Nine Miles in Blaauwbosch. It is alleged that the victim was walking when he was approached by the suspect. He was severely stabbed and rushed to a nearby hospital where he later died.
A case of murder was opened at Osizweni police station.
