Just after 12:30pm today ALS Paramedics were called to a shooting incident which had occured in a parking lot of a popular shopping centre in Cato ridge, West of Durban.
On arrival Paramedics found SAPS already in attendance with three people having sustained gunshot wounds. Paramedics quickly assessed the scene and found that two men had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Unfortunately there was nothing Paramedics could do for them and they were declared deceased on the scene. Both men were believed to be approximately 40years old. One female believed to be in her thirties had sustained gunshot wounds to her legs and she was stabilized on scene by
ALS Paramedics and EMRS before she was rushed to a nearby hospital for the further care that they required.
At this stage the events leading up to the shooting is unknown however SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further….
