South African farmer killed and set alight

Wednesday, February 1, around 01H00 a man was shot and killed in a farm attack in the Underberg Area, KwaZulu-Natal.

The police said that three armed suspects entered the house and woke up the sleeping couple. The suspects wanted money and fired two shots at the 47-year-old man. He was shot in the left side of his chest and died at the scene.

The suspects fled the scene with clothes, cell phones, and other valuable household items.

The police are still busy gathering evidence and following up on leads. A case of murder has been opened and the search for the suspects continue.

The name of deceased is being withheld until family members have been notified.
