Farm worker wounded, farmer and wife held at gunpoint
Willing to kill a farmer for a bag of fruit

On Monday April 10 a farm worker was shot and wounded in the arm, while the farmer and his wife were held at gunpoint.

Two suspects gained entry to the residence on the farm situated in the Mtubatuba Municipality, Umfolozi Flats, Futululu, Heaton-Nichols. Both suspects wore balaclavas and quickly fled with household goods, cash and two rifles.

The Farming Community and Inyala Security responded to the incident recovering a discarded bag with documents.

Suspects are thought to have fled in a grey-white Volkswagen Jetta with a partial Reg# NUF.

The farm worker was transferred to hospital and receiving treatment.

The police are investigating the incident.
