On 10 May 2024, R1 003 466.90 was deposited to the Criminal Assets Recovery Account (CARA) following the auction of Tigerkloof Farm which was forfeited to the State in October 2022.

In 2019, Hawks members from Newcastle Serious Organised Crime Investigation received information about a farm that was used as a clandestine laboratory at Ingogo area in Newcastle. An operation conducted and evidence was collected. It was concluded that the farm was used as a clandestine laboratory.

The matter was referred to the Hawks members from Asset Forfeiture Investigation who worked together with the National Prosecuting Authority in securing final forfeiture order hence the farm was finally auctioned.

The KwaZulu-Natal Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation Provincial Head, Major General (Dr) Lesetja Senona applauded the Asset Forfeiture team for the good work.
