On 12 April 2018, at 12:30, Mr Rian Bingle was at home on their farm in Paardefontein, Dalton with his elderly mom. And when he went to feed his birds in an aviary out in his garden, he was met by 6 armed attackers. He was then forced into the house where his elderly mum was and they were both physically abused.
The assailants then cut the gun safe open and removed firearms. They tied Riaan and his mum up. At approximately 4pm Mrs Rita Bingle arrived home to find Riaan and her Mother in law bound.
She then raised the alarm. Both Riaan and his mom sustained injuries but are not in a serious condition. They were however emotionally traumatized.
A big thank you to lacal farmers, Securitas Fandorum, and Dalton SAPS for their rapid response and assistance. I like to mention a big thanks to Mr Edgar Redinger for rushing, Mrs Bingle senior (88) to the doctor for medical check.
The attackers are still at large and are fully armed so please be alert and aware.
