Phillip Long and his stepson Timothy were attacked on his farm on the night of 30 March 2018, in Franklin, KZN.
When Phillip arrived home some time after 22:00, three black males aged about 18 years old were waiting for him outside. They beat them up. They also entered the house and where looking for money, they went through the safe looking for money. Timothy who was sleeping inside was also assaulted.Their hands were tied behind their backs.
The suspects fled the scene at about 22:30. Phillip is in hospital and sustained injuries to his head as he was kicked and beaten. He is stable and not in immediate danger.
