A farm attack took place on 22 July at 08:30, on the farm Middelrus, in the Mooi River area, in the KwaZulu-Natal province of South Africa.

The farmer, Kevin Taylor was out attending to his livestock when approximately 5 armed attackers arrived at the farm house.

The woman of the home were alone at the time.

The attackers were driving a Quantum minibus with unknown registration plates.

When Kevin Taylor arrived back at the house he was overpowered and severely assaulted by the attackers who were demanding cash and firearms.

He was forced to open the safe.

Six firearms, including a revolver, a shotgun and four rifles and an undisclosed amount of cash were robbed.

Cell phones, TV’s and other items were also taken.

Mr. Taylor was taken for medical attention to St Anne’s Hospital. He is in a satisfactory condition.

There were no other injuries reported.

Police are investigating but there have been no arrets.
